TO THE MOUNTAIN: Shavuot 5772
TO THE MOUNTAIN: A TIKKUN LEIL SHAVUOT

Late night study on erev Shavuot, the holiday of spring harvest and receiving Torah at Mt. Sinai.
Saturday, May 26, 9 pm to 12:30 am
Weather forecast looks good, but in case of rain we will meet downstairs in the Kolot Chayeinu social hall.
WHO: Teaching and kavannot by Rabbi Ellen Lippmann. Cantor Lisa B. Segal, Trisha Arlin, Heath Reynolds, Dori Chandler and YOU!
WHEN AND WHERE: Meet at 9 pm at the entrance to the park across from the Pavilion movie theater at Bartel Pritchard Square to walk to the high hill in Prospect Park.
WHAT: Each person should bring a thought about what receiving Torah means, a flashlight or lantern, something to sit on, clothing for the night's chill, and one food or drink item to share.
WHAT ELSE: The night will include havdallah bein kodesh l'kodesh: distinguishing between the holiness of Shabbat and the holiness of Shavuot; walking meditation and meditative walking; the yoga pose tadassana (mountain pose), and who knows what may happen at midnight?!?!?
