Services at Kolot Chayeinu
Unless otherwise noted, all services are led by Rabbi Ellen Lippmann and take place at the Church of Gethsemane (get directions). For a detailed schedule of upcoming services see the Calendar.
Weekly Shabbat Services
Shabbat morning services begin at 10:00 am with breakfast, followed by our main service and at 10:30 am. The main Kolot service is characterized by beautiful and often lively music and singing, occasional dancing, engaging Torah-telling by our maggid and others, and a lot of participation. Kabbalat Shabbat services are held once a month, on the third Friday of the month, AT 6:30 PM. They include beautiful and varied music led by our Music Director Lisa B. Shabbat at Castle Senior Living
Join Kolot members to help welcome in Shabbat with residents of Castle Senior Living in Park Slope each Friday afternoon at 3:45 pm. The short services are led by Jocelyn Cohen each week, followed by challah and juice. Everyone is welcome for songs, prayers, and community. The more of us "youngsters" there, the livelier the service for the residents. Castle Senior Living is located at 1 Prospect Park West, and the Shabbat service is in the chapel on the 5th floor.
