About the Artists

Lisa B. Segal, Kolot Chayeinu's Chazzan, has performed with Marty Ehrlich, Roy Nathanson, Mark Ribot, The Roches, and Alicia Svigals, and has worked and sung on and off the bimah with numerous cantors and Jewish groups around the country.
Zoe B. Zak, singer, composer, and accordionist: "Zoe is not your typical Yiddisha Mama, yet her music warms the heart like tasty chicken soup. Her music is not Klezmer but it has that foot stomping, heart and soul musical quality which brings on dancing, laughter and tears.".
Studio Stu, Stu performs his evocative jazz, exotic lounge on his the Studivarious, a single string, virtuosic, ten ply maple, washtub bass. His act brings his original jazz style and unique Brooklyn humor, fearlessness in delivery and willingness to navigate uncharted paths through improvisation.
Zorkie Nelson, Ghanian master singer and percussionist
Arthur Strimiling, Kolot Chayeinu's Official Storyteller, Maggid HaMakom. Arthur is a performer, writer and director, who has directed and performed in New York City at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, the 92nd Street Y, The Public Theatre, Symphony Space and the Jewish Museum, and at venues across the country.
