Another gem from the Knopf-Borzoi daily poetry series:
These words from Franz Wright's "Dead Seagull" look like a prayer to me on this Friday morning heading toward Shabbat and just about 3 weeks in to the omer's journey toward Sinai:
For a moment
only, stay with me, mystery. Before you change completely into
something other, slow cloud, entrance, spell, not yet remembered
name, stay; tell me what you mean.
