Leap Before You Look

I am loving the Knopf and Borzoi "Poem-a_Day" selections. This one, W.H. Auden's "Leap Before You Look", makes me think about our ancient ancestors getting ready to receive Torah and saying, "We will do and we will listen," which can be understood as "We will do first and later we will learn from it," or "We will do and then think." Or, as with Auden: We will leap before we look!
And today is already the 9th day of the counting of the omer, moving us toward Sinai once again.
