Food

Every Shabbat morning at Kolot Chayeinu, we eat first.

We find that sharing food and conversation creates warmth and community and only then do we pray.

In 2011, Rabbi Lippmann and Trisha Arlin wrote an essay about how Kolot Chayeinu creates community by how we eat together, and it was published in a book, The Sacred Table, about how Jews think about food.  CHECK IT OUT  HERE:  "WE EAT FIRST"
